Founded in 1865 in London by William Booth, The Salvation Army is present in 127 countries and operates 7,546 centers in the United States alone. The Salvation Army is dedicated to fighting hunger, addiction and poverty by meeting peoples physical as well as spiritual needs. The work of the Army is funded through corporate contributions, kettle donations and the sale of goods donated. These donations are used to establish and run disaster relief, anti-human trafficking, various children’s programs, food distribution and more.
