These days, we hear so much in the news and media about being Made in America or Made in the USA. While this “phenomenon” is new for many businesses, it is not a new initiative for this picture frame manufacturer.
At Frame USA, we have been focusing on being Made in America since we started over 30 years ago. We manufacture on average 2,750 picture frames a day, in all categories:
In 2010, we were even featured on a Diane Sawyer special that focused on American-made businesses.
So what does Made in America mean to me? Made in America means working hard to keep American jobs here in the United States, and offering great opportunities to so many throughout this great country of ours. While politics may be a focus on your opinion of Made in America, it is not a focus of mine.
We produce great made in the USA products, at low wholesale prices every day here at Frame USA. As our economy changes, our small American made business notices it quickly. Do we lose business to China? Yes. Do we care? Yes and no. In our experience, many people come forward and are looking for the cheapest option all the time. Then when they find out it will take them 6-12 weeks to get their picture frames from China, they appreciate our 4-5 business day turnaround a lot more.
We care because no one wants to lose business, however, do we waiver on making great American made products, no way!
