Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disease and the most common form of dementia. Worldwide, 50 million people are living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias worldwide. The Alzheimer’s association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and also to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Their vision is a world without Alzheimer’s disease and we stand behind them. They work to accomplish this vision on both a national and local level. They provide care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The Association is committed to advancing vital research towards methods of treatment, prevention, and ultimately a cure. As a result of this, they currently are the worlds largest organization that funds research of Alzheimer’s.
Not only are they the world’s largest organization that funds the research they are also the leading voice for Alzheimer’s disease advocacy, fighting for critical Alzheimer’s research and care initiatives at both the state and the federal level.
