You may, or may not, have heard of Dean Russo. But whether you are a fan, or soon to be fan, our upcoming print-on-demand website will give you access to print over 300 images from this motivated artist! Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Russo found that he was extremely inspired by the urban landscape; deserted buildings and walls re-imaged by lively murals and graffiti. He decided to take that style, and create pop art prints about animals, and what is truly happening behind just their face. Using all sorts of mediums, Russo paints different animals with bold, black outlines, and then bright colors and patterns. Doing this, he is able to portray the pureness and joy that comes with these beautiful creatures.
Russo also has other prints that are not related to only animals. Using his same eye-catching style, he creates prints about a lot of different topics. With the launch of Art & Canvas, you will have the opportunity to search through a ton of Dean Russo’s vivid and colorful art prints, to find the perfect one(s) for you!

This past weekend several tourists and New Yorkers found themselves with an opportunity to own an original painting from renowned street artist – Banksy.
On Saturday, October 12, infamous U.K. street artist Banksy setup a booth in New York’s Central Park. The booth and the opportunity to pick up an original Banksy piece was not announced, nor is it expected to happen again anytime soon. Upon watching the video below, Banksy notes that he made a total of $420 for the day, so he sold 7 works @ $60 to 7 lucky and aware individuals.
The sale provided an opportunity for tourists and passerby’s to purchase original art canvases for $60. The artist also posted a video on his website: http://www.banksy.co.uk/
We just wonder where all of those fine folks are going to get an awesome frame to display these great pieces on a wall at home or work…
Would you have recognized these works on the street? Would you have recognized Banksy’s work immediately, or would you have thought this was just another street artist?
Just in case you have no idea, here’s a little explanation from Wiki:
Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based graffiti artist, political activist, film director, and painter. His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humor with graffiti done in a distinctive stenciling technique. Such artistic works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world.
