November marks an exciting time at Frame USA! We get to put on one of our favorite promos: Small Business Decorate-It Promo. This promo consists of sending a 5×7 Decorate-It Frame to customers who have small businesses. They then show off their creativity in the way they know the best. We then give them the opportunity to share their business with our other customers. Just a small business, supporting other small businesses. This year marks the sixth year that we have been putting on this promotion and we are always so amazed at how creative our customers truly are.
Nebulad Graphics
Nebulad Graphics is less a ‘company’ and more a craft fair sensation! They take old comic books and repurpose them by adding panels and images to frames (among other items such as coasters, bottle openers, etc). For the 5×7 Decorate-It Frame, Nebulad Graphics utilized vintage Spiderman comic in Black and White to make this one of a kind collectable.They make great gifts for any superhero fan.
Kings County Mosaics
Kings County Mosaics Kings County Mosaics specialize in handcrafted Talavera tile home goods. For the 5×7 Decorate-It Frame, Michael from Kings County Mosaics hand cut Talavera tiles and reimagined them into a beautiful design right on the frame.
Moonlight Studio Design
Erin from Moonlight Studio Design is a fine artist painting nature and wildlife paintings as well as offering commissioned pet, people, and car portraits. Erin painted the 5×7 Decorate-It frame with metallic gold and hints of copper. Then painted some stylized greenery along the corner to represent grasses so it would coordinate with this print of Erin’s wildlife painting “Standing Watch” which depicts a blue heron.
Carolyn Bloom Fine Art
Carolyn Bloom is a fine artist residing in Arizona. Carolyn is primarily a landscape painter in oil but paint with acrylic and gouache as well. Carolyn also paints still lifes and take commissions in most subjects.
Carolyn contrasted her normally serious work in a fun light hearted way on this 5×7 Decorate-It Frame. Carolyn painted a rearing black Stallion against a sunset.
Complementing the original painting, Carolyn painted the frame a rich orange gold, and added line drawings of running horses along the bottom.
Brenda Kauppinen
Gail M Austin is an artist who creates expressive watercolor paintings inspired by landscapes and flowers.
For the 5×7 Decorate-It Frame, Gail whitewashed the frame and added layered wavy lines in white, black, and grey to create a textured, hand-painted look. Gail then matted a small abstract original piece made with charcoal, pencil, and pastel and placed it inside, bringing both disciplines together in one cohesive finished design.
Note-Able Creations
Howard from Note-able Creations creates mixed media collage art that upcycles postage stamps into art. As well as takes inherited collections into art for families of the stamp collector. For the Decorate-It Frame, Howard used 220 grit sandpaper and followed it with two coats of mahogany
wood stain, sanding between coats. The art inside is a created collage upcycling select “Love” postage stamps and overlaying a custom cut matboard in the iconic LOVE image.
Herenya Wilkey, LLC
Herenya Wilkey, LLC creates original stained glass and mosaic art as well as offers adult education classes to those interested in learning the stained glass artistry. For the 5×7 Decorate-It Frame, Herenya created a mini stained glass window in the Tiffany style with an abstract wire tree to compliment my wood stained frame.
Applegate Fine Art
Sara from Applegate Fine Art creates original fine art consisting mostly of nude collages, using imagery sourced from 1880s to 1920s historical ephemera. She combines these figures with handmade and antique papers, gold leaf, and words from antique books and magazines to build each piece. For the 5×7 Decorate-It Frame, she continued her collage process onto the frame itself, blending antique materials and layered textures to create a cohesive work of art.
Alison Speerbrecker Art
Alison is an artist and a muralist. Alison’s art is bold and fun made with a goal to bring joy and inspiration to all who finds it. For the 5×7 Decorate-It Frame, Alison attached a canvas to the back of the frame with offset clips, applied gesso to the frame and painted both the frame and canvas with acrylic paint.
