Ralph Steadman, born in 1936, is an artist of many different talents. While he started out as a cartoonist, throughout the years of his practice, he evolved into many different fields of creativity. On his site (www.ralphsteadman.com), he mentions that his classics include “Alice in Wonderland”, “Treasure Island”, and “Animal Farm”.
As a publish writer, his books include the lives of Sigmund Freud and Leonardo da Vinci and “The big I AM”. Steadman also collaborated with writer Hunter S. Thompson in the birth of GONZO journalism. One of his notable contributions and works from GONZO was the book “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”, which was made into a feature film.
