Memorial Day weekend is almost here and that’s when Hollywood kicks off the summer blockbuster season and starts releasing their big tentpole movies. If you’re a fan of action, adventure and fantasy or anything with explosions, special effects or spies, this is a great time of year for you. Sometimes it’s fun, when you’re a fan, to get a few posters from the big movies coming up. Not the expensive, collectible posters that hold a lot of value, just the ones you can pull out of the rack or order online at Art & Canvas. Unless you’re ten years old, however, you probably don’t just want to throw the poster up willy-nilly on a wall. You want to put it in a picture frame. What are the best movie poster display frames?
At Frameusa we have an entire category devoted solely to poster frames. They are all plastic picture frames but come in a wide variety. The best choices when you’re looking for a large frame like a 24 x 36 or 27 x 40 frame are our Budget Saver series and our Simply Poly.
Budget Saver have a beveled 1 1/4″ profile and come in black and cherry. They have a sleek look to them and are good and sturdy. Our Simply Poly poster frames also have a 1 1/4″ profile but are flat, like our popular Corporate wood picture frames. The Simply Poly comes in white or black.
If you don’t want plastic there are some other frames that are particularly well suited to showing off your movie posters. If it’s wood you’re looking for, the aforementioned Corporate series comes in many different colors and is made from an eco-friendly wood composite. So not only does your Ant-Man poster look good in it, but you’re also helping the environment. For a thinner profile, made from real wood, you can’t go wrong with our Architect series. It has a tight, slim look and comes in some great colors.
Lastly, for something a little different, our Metal I and Metal II series can be put to good use showing off your favorite movie posters. They have the same thin, 3/8″ width but each series offers different colors. Metal I has the more basic, red, white, blue, black, silver and gold, while Metal II offers some unique colors like blue pewter, gunmetal grey and shiny bronze.
So when you need frames for pictures or posters in particular, check out what we have at Frameusa. We’ll make your art look great!
Do you have glass or plastic which protects the poster face?
Hi Diane!
All of our poster frames include a piece of styrene to protect your poster. Our normal frames come with glass or styrene depending on the size of the frame.
