As the Licensing Director at Art & Canvas, it’s only appropriate that I share my favorite posters! In compiling this list, it becomes clear that I love the humor posters; to have a funny image on the wall as a reminder to laugh, or at least smile every day. In addition to a slew of humor posters, we have a large variety of other images waiting to adorn your walls, including music, inspirational, photography or art, to name a few.
My favorite Art & Canvas poster is Onward!
by Jay Fleck. I love the clean design (I am a graphic designer, after all) and the crazy theme. An eye-patched, sword wielding giraffe is riding a shark as it jumps out of the water, on a mission. I’m not sure where they are going, but it must be important. This poster is a great piece to hang as a reminder to move ‘Onward’ with purpose in the adventure of life; and it’s just funny. This poster will definitely cheer you up if you are having a bad day.
My next favorite Art & Canvas poster is DJ. Also quite silly, a city-sized groundhog is DJing
among the skyscrapers of New York City. This one makes me smile every time, as he’s in the zone, minding his own business and completely ignoring the circling helicopter. I’m curious as to where such a giant rodent came from, and how he got such a large turntable and headphones to jam out and bring music to the city. The teal circle adds enough color to the grayscale image, emphasizing the furball in all his happy glory.
We also have many humorous food & drink posters.
Happy Hour makes me chuckle, with the oversized glasses. Don’t you wish your favorite bar had such large glassware? Sometimes there are hot days when a nice (big) glass of beer with a good friend makes everything better.
Caribooze is also funny, with a caribou boozing out, using his antlers as beer holders. He would be a great party mascot! And then of course
Alcoholic Beverages Encouraged is a law-defying poster encouraging people to drink. Nothing like graffiti on a sign to change the law.
This is only a sampling of my favorite posters, and it was hard to pick just a couple. We are always adding new posters to our line, and some of the images in the works are awesome.
