Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

Valentine’s Day Ideas

There is a little over a week left to prepare for Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day sometimes can be difficult especially when it follows relatively close to other gifting holidays. So what else is left to give the people in your life that appear to have everything?! We’ve compiled a couple of ideas to help inspire your inner crafter and create one of a kind gifts for everyone special in your life.

Earlier this week we started creating a pinterest board with Valentine’s Day ideas that we came across. This board is a compilation of home decorating ideas and gifts for your child’s teacher all the way to your significant other. We will be continually putting more and more ideas into this board leading up to V-Day.

Here are some of our favorites we have seen so far.

Valentine for Your Child’s Favorite Teacher:

Valentine's Gift Idea for Teachers

Frame a quote for your child’s favorite teacher. There are so many free print out sites that have quotes like this one or others. If you want something more meaningful, find a class picture, or a picture with your child and the teacher. Having your child decorate the frame will set your gift apart from the standard store bought valentine. Our Unfinished Series is the perfect frame for the job!

Valentine for Your Parents:

Valentine for Parents

Handmade valentines are just so much better than store bought ones, especially when the recipient is your child’s grandparent. This idea will kill two birds with one stone! Occupy your kids by having them decorate a frame to be used for a valentine for a grandparent.

Don’t have kids? That shouldn’t stop you! Decorate a frame yourself and frame a picture of you and your parent from when you were a kid.

Our Decorate-It frame series is the perfect choice for all ages!

Valentine for Your Best Friend:

Valentine for Best Friend

Valentine’s Day isn’t just for your significant others! It’s a day to celebrate your love and appreciation for all those you care about, best friends included. Everyone has a favorite picture with their best friend so rather than let it sit in some photo album never to be seen or on your Facebook, use it to make a memorable and meaningful valentine! Find a quote that is appropriate and fitting for your relationship and decorate a frame with it!

Either our Decorate-It Series or our Unfinished Series is perfect for this!

Not big on quotes? Paint our Unfinished Architect Frame instead!

Valentine for Your Significant Other:

Valentine for S.O.

Last but definitely not least is a valentine for your significant other. The ideas for this one are endless, but we love the idea of using a shadowbox for this valentine and to make it extra special make it a custom shadowbox using our Shadowbox Elite Unfinished frame.

If you and your sweetie have a song, or a poem that you both love, why not write it out on the back of the shadowbox and use letter tiles like you find in scrabble games to write an extra special message!

If you hadn’t noticed, all of the ideas that we gave you here had one thing in common, they all emphasized creating and decorating frames. We think Valentine’s Day gifts should be much more than just a bag of candy and a store bought card. DIY gifts may take extra time, but the feeling they give your loved ones is way worth it.

To make these valentine gift ideas even more sweet (pun definitely intended) we have a sale going on with all the frames mentioned! Save on the frames you use for your V-day gifts that will mean the world to your loved ones. This sale expires 2.5.15 at midnight!

10 Gifts To Buy Your Adult Children That Will Make Them Cry

As your children turn from kids to adults, buying them presents for the holidays or birthdays can become a difficult task. They become far less easy to please and far more expensive to shop for. You may have given up the fight and settled with money, gift cards or clothing (that they will probably end up returning for the money). We thought that we would end this madness and give you a few gift ideas that will guarantee make your kids cry or at least give you a really big hug! The best part about these gifts are you most likely will have almost every one of them, and with the help of Frameusa.com you won’t even have to leave your house this Black Friday because you will be all set for your presents.

1. Frame ticket stubs and program from an event you experienced together.

Framed Play Bill

Almost all kids will attend concerts and/or plays that impacted them greatly in some way. By framing them you are providing your children with someplace to not only protect those precious ticket stubs and play bills but to display them as well. We have three types of shadow box picture frames that you can choose from: Shadow box Boxers, Shadow Box Showcase and Shadow Box Elite. All of which come in our standard sizes. Just like all of our other picture frames our Shadow Box frames are back loading. This will allow for your children to put in their precious ticket stubs and play bills, close up the frame to display and then add more ticket stubs and play bills as they receive them! Only have one particular show that was special? Just frame those elements with Build a Frame

2. Frame your child’s favorite childhood toy

Our picture frames come in variety of depths so they will accommodate everything from a puzzle all the way up to a matchbox car or train. If the toy itself is rather thick I suggest looking at our shadow box picture frames. They range in depth from a little over 1 inch all the way up to 3.5 inches

3. Take a childhood “Blankey” and frame it

Framed Blanket

You can Use the aforementioned shadow box picture frames and have the blanket sewn onto black foam core. The other option is to unfold the blanket and frame it in a traditional wood frame.

4. Combine your child’s catcher’s mitt or dance shoes with a picture of them in the uniform/costume

After hearing of the topic of this blog, one of our employee’s shared with us a personal experience that really showed us that these gifts really do mean the world to our children. With approval of this employee we thought we would share her story with you to  show that this really is a worthwhile post and is not just an attempt on our part to push our products.

“My senior year of college I was required to go through a portfolio show in which I displayed my portfolio to friends, family and professors. All of the projects in it were an accumulation of my 4 years at school and it was extremely important to me. My mom took the postcard invitation that was sent out about the show and got it framed for me. This simple gift that my mom gave me serves as a daily reminder of my accomplishments and I cherish it deeply.”

That is why these gifts that we gave you are so effective; they will make your child see that what is important to them is important to you.
